Dining out in Los Cabos

A relaxing dinner out in Los Cabos provides the opportunity to sample some of the areas freshest ingredients. A variety of fish fresh from the Sea of Cortez or the Pacific can be found in abundance. Look for El Pesca del dia (fish of the day) on the menu of most restaurants and you will most likely be eating Dorado (Mahi), Sea Bass, or Red Snapper. Local Mexican cuisine takes on a unique flavor with the nearby influence of Southern California. Unfortunately at some establishments, prices are also "California-like", so it pays to be selective. Resturants listed are personal favorites that have stood the test of time. To further assist you when making choices we have added this Food Glossary

A word of caution
...There have been reports of credit card "theft" when using a credit card to pay for your meal at a restaurant.  Sad to say, this can happen.  If and when it does happen, you won't even know it right away since the thieves use technology to steal the numbers, not the card.  To keep this from happening, use your debit card in a bank or hotel ATM to obtain sufficient amounts of pesos to pay for your meals.  Obviously don't carry all the cash with you each outing; only enough to take care of meals and transportation.  It's a bit of an inconvenience, but preferable to having your card ripped off.
