Los Cabos is truely at land's end.

No iconic image more typifies Los Cabos than the Arc (El Arco).

Cabo is at the tip of Baja California- land's end where the boundary between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez is roughly blurred. It's also the point where Grey whales annually make their hairpin turn on the journey to and from the Arctic seas. The Arc is accessible only by boat and every several years when the tides are extraordinarily low, it is possible to explore on foot. Even if you know how to read a tide chart, it is not recommended you try to hike your way to El Arco.  Better to hitch a ride on a panga and leave the navigating to Jose.

Los Cabo has become more accessible from points in the midwest and eastern part of the US with improved air service and thanks to an airport expansion. Where is it? The Los Cabos area was largely know as the city of Cabo San Lucas. Area development initially extended eastward towards San Jose and the airport, giving rise to the so-called corridor area between those two points.
